50 Surprising Pros & CONS about moving

From Cincinnati to houston!

After 11 years, here’s 50 surprising pros and cons about moving from Cincinnati to Houston. From food, to family, to home ownership, to the positives and negatives. I cover everything!

Home Prices Are Good!

Cincinnati is probably a little cheaper. But, Houston is the 4th largest city in the US. Compared to most other large cities, Houston's home prices are low!

1

Houston Doesn't have zoning laws

Be careful buying a home outside of an HOA protected neighborhood. Since Houston doesn't have zoning laws, anything can be built next to you. Including a WalMart or a bar!

2

We Have Food From around the world!

Houston has one of the most international and diverse cities in the US. That means we also have restaurants and grocery stores selling fantastic food from all around the world. Yum!

3

Weather In Houston  Is a pro and a con

It's sunny most of the year, which is great! But, the summer heat is so unbearable, most people hide inside. That makes summer vacation not as much fun for families as it is in the Midwest.  And, of course, there's the chance of hurricanes & flooding..

4

POOLS HAVE AND NEED CHILLERS

Most pools in Houston have chillers added onto them. I didn't even know these existed when I lived in Cincinnati. Chillers cool the water down in the HOT summer months when pools here get bath water hot!
