A few years ago, I covered our kitchen table in 1/4" x 1 1/2" poplar boards. It's one of my favorite projects. If you have a lot of scrap lattice or lattice-sized lumber around, turn it into a geometric table top or wall art.
I made a big version of a barn star quilt. BUT, you can always scale it down to use up scraps. Barn Quilts come in tons of colors and patterns. Do a quick google to find the pattern and colors you like.
This little build can be used as a side table or a stool. It can easily be made with scraps, if you have a bunch of 2x2 leftover. The round top can usually be found for about $10 at Lowe's or Home Depot.
